Global Warming IPCC Report Flawed
According to a new study by the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency (PBL), parts of the last report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) had a tendency to highlight worst-case scenarios.
Dutch investigators found several judgments that were "misleading" and appeared to have no firm research basis.

Quiet Sun And Winter Weather Predictions
The Center for the Study of Carbon Dioxide and Global Change recently reported on a study by W. Livingston and M. Penn titled "Are sunspots different during this solar minimum?" (EOS, Transactions, American Geophysical Union 90: 257-258).
The authors of the study report that their findings seem to indicate that another Little Ice Age - like the one that occurred between 1645 and 1715 during the Maunder Minimum - could very well begin to slowly set in as soon as 1014 or 1015!
The CO2 Science reviewer makes a surprising suggestion to help attenuate the effects of a possible upcoming "Little Ice Age".
A disturbingly quiet Sun could very well have an effect on future winter weather predictions.
IMHO definitely worth a read and more than a little pondering.
